img/grandjoca%20200.jpg

A son of Grand Kavalier's, Grand Joca, is a rapidly rising star in the eventing team of UK based Australian Olympic Gold Medalist Andrew Hoy.

Grand Joca was owned and successfully campaigned in eventing by Jonathan McLean before being purchased by Hoy and exported to the UK.

Joca is in the early stages of his career currently competing two-star however it is rumored that Andrew considers him the best horse in his stable.  Certainly he was in excellent form in September 2006 when Joca carried the Australian flag to 8th place at Kreuther in Germany in the CCI two-star finishing on a score of 60 points.  Most recently he competed at Barroca d'Alira, Portugal, where he came 4th in the 2 star event.

AWHA Show March 2006

Cloverfern only exhibited one foal at this year's Gala Day.  However, Cloverfern Sudoku won his class and was the highest scoring colt foal.  Sudoku also was the third highest scoring colt nationally in this year's ACE classification.  He was assessed as having definite stallion potential.  He would be an asset to any stud with his striking markings and superb conformation and movement.

APPH Grand Farnese Achieves AWHA Approval

Grand Farnese by Grand Kavalier out of a Falkland x Monopol mare was the only colt to pass the stringent standards of the AWHA colt classifications held at the Warmblood Weekend at Werribee Park in Victoria in October 2005.

Four colts/stallions from NSW, WA and VIC were assessed with Grand Farnese the only one to reach an average above the required 70% across all classification criteria.

This follows from Farnese being granted his provisional Stallion License at 2005 ACE assessment tour, placing 4th Nationally.

Farnese is owned by Kylie Stephenson of Ashley Park Performance Horses in Yarrambat.

ACE Assessment Tour 2005

The ACE assessment tour 2005 once again saw three of the National top 30 colts and two of the top 10 foals sired by Grand Kavalier or APH Spiegel.

This year two of Grand Kavalier's progeny were assessed for their preliminary stallion license, VPS General and Grande Farnese.  Both young stallions were successful, earning National 1st and 4th place respectively.

The ACE Newsletter March 2005 reports from the tour....

"The following day was a big one at Cloverfern Equestrian Centre.  Plenty of nice offspring from Grand Kavalier and APH Spiegel as well as others to be seen.  We had a whole lot of young colts to look at for preliminary licensing and saw among them VPS General (Grand Kavalier - Valuta), who amazed us with his beautiful movements and very correct conformation."
