Season's Babies

The following foals are just some of Grand Kavalier and Spiegel's progeny born in recent seasons.  Some of these foals may be available at weaning. Purchasers of Cloverfern Stud prefix progeny (colts and fillies) may be eligible to receive one free LFG service to APH Spiegel (conditions apply).

Cloverfern Salisbury APH Spiegel / Kaarozza (TB)Bay Colt Mature approx 16.1-16.2hh DOB 20/11/09 $11,000 pictured at 2 months
Comments: A superbly conformed colt, scoring 82.5% for conformation and 78.75% overall to gain a premium foal award at the 2010 ACE assessments. In addition he scored 82.25% overall on the Trakehner verband tour 2010. This is a colt with very definite stallion potential and he is eligible for Trakehner registration. He is for sale after weaning.

Comments: Sultan is a striking example of how APH Spiegel can be used across other breeds to produce a truly rideable horse with great movement. Sultan scored 79% for his movement at the 2010 ACE assessments. Sultan is now weaned. He is very easy to handle and is currently for sale.

Comments: This filly is the epitome of femininity. Shivas has an exquisite head. I doubt that she will be for sale in the forseeable future! Cloverfern Saskatoon APH Spiegel / Sunvalley Vangelica                              Chestnut Filly Mature approx 16.2hh DOB 11/01/09 pictured as yearling   Comments: This filly is by an FEI dressage sire out of a mare by the Grand Prix dressage stallion, Vancouver II. Bred to excel in dressage, Saskatoon scored 80.5% at the 2009 ACE assessments, achieving an elite premium foal award. Sadly, we lost Vangelica last year. Her two previous foals, Cloverfern Guelph and Cloverfern Guinevere were equally exceptional. Saskatoon is for sale.

 

Cloverfern Grand Destiny Grand Kavalier/Double Destiny (TB) Brown colt Mature approx 16.3-17hh DOB 28/09/08   pictured at 3 months
Comments: Grand Destiny is Double Destiny's first foal. His dam was the overall top mare Nationally at the 2009 ACE assessments. "Eddy" scored 75.5% for his movement at the same assessments.                    Comments:

                   Solo achieved 78.5% for conformation at the 2009 ACE assessments. He has
                   very correct movement and a fabulous temperament. His full brother, Salisbury
                   achieved a Premium foal award at this year's ACE assessments (2010).

                    Comments:

                    Guy Fawkes is the 7th foal produced by Gazette and sired by Grand Kavalier.
                    This combination has produced Cloverfern Gemini, Cloverfern Gallileo I, 
                    Cloverfern Genevieve and Graphite, amongst others. Graphite was recently
                    purchased by Henk van de Graff. 
                    Guy was sold at foot with his dam with the intention that he be kept entire.

Comments: Leo was sold prior to weaning and was not presented for ACE assessment. His dam competed to Advanced level dressage. He is expected to excel at dressage with his breeding, movement and temperament. Soubrette was presented as a yearling and achieved National No 1 filly.                      Comments:

                     Spectacular colt out of purebred Trakehner mare Excelsior Lutzeena. At
                     2 weeks of age he achieved 79.25% at the 2007 ACE assessments and was  
                     identified as a potential stallion. He is a pure Trakehner.

                     

Cloverfern Geneva Liver Chestnut filly Grand Kavalier /Lucy Jet(TB) DOB 24/12/06 Mature 16.2hh approx. SOLD

Comments: Geneva is Lucy's first foal and she produced a striking liver chestnut filly with a lovely top line.  Grand Kavalier produces beautifully with thoroughbreds with numerous examples proving the success of this mix. Cloverfern Margrette Magritte / Brindabah Park  Valette          Bay Filly Mature approx 16.1hh                                             DOB 24/12/06 pictured 4 days old SOLD  Comments: A superbly conformed filly, Magritte's owner Emma Youngman has commented that Margrette is probably the best of his foals yet.  Maggie scored 80% in the 2007 ACE assessment tour and was second to the champion foal at the AWHA Gala Day. She has recently been sold to Kate Hews of NSW. We wish them both every success.  BMS Savant APH Spiegel /TB  Mare                          Black brown colt Mature approx 16hh DOB 29/11/06  owned by Blackmore  Park Stud        Comments: Stunning colt out of showing champion and race winning TB mare.  Savant is a Premium ACE foal earning 76% with a national ranking of 16th.  He combines his dam's show hack looks with his sire's FEI movement.  ACE scored his walk at 8.5.  Savant is for sale.
